Meet Amanda
Hi! I’m Amanda. I love the Lord, my incredible family — my husband and our four beautiful children — a good cup of coffee, collecting antiques, spending time getting to know others and what makes them unique, especially when that means getting to support their vision for their birth as their midwife. What an honor and privilege it is to witness and guide a family’s most transformative season.
My own births changed my life. (A sentiment every mother shares) But my testimony is: my births weren’t textbook and one was pretty traumatic. It was then that I realized how important the support system truly is. Through the years of growing and learning some of life’s hardest lessons - I am reminded that God uses some of our most challenging and unexpected moments to strengthen and draw us closer to Him.
Beauty in unexpected places — like a wildflower.
Meet Alex
Hello! I’m Alex. I’m a wife of 11 years, a mama of 2, a homesteader, and a student midwife here at Wildflower Midwifery. I love slow mornings, heart-to-heart conversations, laughter, warm drinks, gardening, and exploring new cities through food. I’m passionate about holistic health, nutrition, low-tox living and the way God so perfectly designed a woman’s body to grow, nourish, and birth new life.
I began my journey into healthcare in 2010 by earning my CNA and going through nursing school, with the intention of working in labor and delivery. But life took me down a different, unexpected path. Years later, I felt called to serve women as a doula - and that became the starting point of my journey into midwifery. I became a birth assistant to midwives in our community and then began an apprenticeship as a student midwife. I continue to grow in knowledge, skill, and my love for caring for women and their families.
Our Philosophy
Divine Design
Our bodies were made to create, sustain, and give birth to LIFE! Care here means trusting the design that is already at work in you and your baby, while using evidence-based care to support, not override, that process.
Clear Communication
Excellent communication is how trust and respect are built. You deserve clear, honest information about every option, every choice, and what it means to truly carry the responsibility of those choices. Our goal is to equip and empower you - not decide for you.
Perfect Peace
Every decision in pregnancy, birth and postpartum should be weighed against one question: Will it bring you peace? Not fear, not pressure - will guide the care we build together, for you and your family.
Kind words from our clients
“My homebirth with Amanda and Alex was a dream. Their calming presence was exactly what I needed following my last traumatic hospital birth. My husband even commented on how their demeanor made such a difference in our experience. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering birthing at home.”

“My husband was a little unsure about doing a homebirth, but we decided to meet Amanda in person. We were both extremely impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. It wasn’t a hard decision for us to choose a homebirth with Amanda. Our first impression stood true throughout the rest of our pregnancy. Amanda was always quick to respond, extremely thorough in her visits, and incredibly understanding. Ultimately, she was our biggest supporter. Amanda is everything you could ever ask for in a midwife, and more. We are so grateful to have met her, and I can’t wait to have any other babies God has in store for us with her by our side.”
— Ashley C.
“Amanda and Alex were such a blessing to my husband and I through the entire process of welcoming our daughter into this world! Their evidence-based approaches and knowledge of physiological birth provided everything we were hoping for in a birth team. Above everything, their faith-based approach, rooted in Christ, kept me grounded throughout my pregnancy and labor. Everything about my birth experience with Alex and Amanda makes me excited to do it all again!”
— Ella D.
